Is your go-to summer accessory a baby bump this year? Here’s how to get htrough the hottest months feeling (and looking) cool.
1. Invest in a few staples, including… Loose shift dresses: To wear to the office or on the weekend. Cropped pants: look for a belly panel that sits under, not over, your bump. Extra-long tank tops: grab a few in basic colors to layer or wear alone.
2. Shop your closet for… Empire waist maxis: The higher waistline gives your bum room to grow. Drawstring shorts and skirts: Cinch them under your bump through your second trimester. Stretchy skirts and dresses: Pair a flowy sundress with a blazer or lightweight cardigan at work.
3. Skip these for now… Form-fitting dresses: Clingy material will make you feel even hotter. Maternity jeans: They’ll be too warm to wear come summertime. Maternity bras: Wait to buy nursing bras until baby comes. For now, stick to regular bras with adjustable bands.
Whatever you wear, embrace your bump — you’re looking great, mama!
